元箱は付属していない。また、"Japan"などの表示が見当たらず、文献にあたってもメーカーは不明。モーター付きでフライホィールがスプリングベルトで回転する。
Kalmback社が運営する雑誌索引サイトによれば、マッキーンカーの記事がRMC誌の1954年3月号P34、1953年6月号p23と1939年8月号p10にあり、この1957年製モデルはいずれかを参考にしたと考えられる。そして、それらの図面や写真と思しき5種が同誌1966年発行の図面集"Loco 1 the Diesel"に掲載され、次のUP、55フィート車がこのモデルによく似ている。

HO scale model (1956 run)こちらはHOスケール製品で、ケン・キダーとしてMR誌上に登場する最初のもの（1956年11月号）。現品が"Brass Model Collection of Kevin" 2019-01-22に展示されている。加えて同時にSスケールでも発売されたという（page 26 of Brass Locomotive Checklist published in 1977）。
